This AT-AT Driver action figure is the best representation of this character so far. His brief appearance in one of the AT-AT walkers in The Empire Strikes Back Battle Of Hoth made this character a fan favorite right away. The overall appearance of the figure looks very nice. The pilot came with a blaster and an action stand where the figure can be placed on. The peg holes in the bottom of the feet are a little too tight, and unfortunately the peg on the stand broke off when I tried to remove the figure from it. However, the figure does stand quite securely by itself, so a stand is not really necessary. The chest box and all the cables are non-removable and glued in placed. The helmet is not removable as well. The biggest flaw the figure has is the lack of movable parts, there is no waist articulation, and the joints in the arms are all swivel joints which limits the figure's possible different poses. The good thing is though that the figure can sit, and this means it will fit in your AT-AT's cockpit! Overall it's a nice figure, and the best representation of the AT-AT Driver so far as of 2009, but hopefully we'll see a super articulated AT-AT Driver at some point in the future.
AT-AT drivers have all the skills neccessary to propel the massive AT-AT walkers into battle. Working efficiently in teams of two, the drivers also operate the walker's laser cannons to take down Rebel Snowspeeders and destroy Echo Base's shield and power generators.
